What This Site Is

BestVoIPProvider.com is an independent editorial site that compares VoIP phone services for businesses and homes, and explains the world of custom vanity phone numbers. We exist for the person who just wants a straight answer to "which phone service should I get?" without wading through 40-row feature matrices or thinly disguised ads.

How We Rate Providers

Our ratings are editorial opinions built from hands-on familiarity with the products, each provider's published plans and documentation, and the practical questions businesses actually ask (covered in our buyer's guide). We weigh:

  • Value — what you get for what you pay, at realistic team sizes and billing terms
  • Reliability and call quality — track record and network reputation
  • Feature usefulness — the features businesses use, not checkbox counts
  • Ease of setup and administration — can a non-IT owner run this?
  • Support — reachability and reputation when something breaks

Ratings are relative to each provider's intended audience — Grasshopper isn't penalized for lacking enterprise features it never claimed to have. We update rankings as products and pricing evolve.

How We Make Money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for a service, the provider may pay us a commission — at no additional cost to you. Two commitments on that front:

  • Rankings are never for sale. Providers cannot pay for placement, and commission rates don't influence ratings. Several services we recommend pay us nothing at all.
  • Disclosure everywhere. Every page carrying affiliate links says so, and the full policy lives on our affiliate disclosure page.

What We're Not

We're not a VoIP provider, we don't sell phone service or numbers ourselves, and we can't administer your account with any provider. For support with a service, contact that provider directly.
